With over a decade of experience in the learning support and counseling field, I am a dedicated school counselor and parenting consultant specializing in supporting elementary-aged children and their families. As a mother of a neurodivergent child, I have a personal understanding of the challenges families face, which deeply informs my approach. My journey began as a homeroom teacher in international schools, where I discovered my passion for working with neurodivergent students, inspiring me to further my studies and specialize in inclusive practices that promote emotional well-being.

I believe in the power of play as a medium for learning and expression, utilizing play-based techniques to engage children effectively. I aim to empower parents with practical tools to nurture their children's growth, drawing on both my personal experiences and professional expertise, all while incorporating my Christian faith to guide my approach. Currently, I am working towards my licensure as a play therapist, aiming to deepen my ability to support families and foster thriving communities.

  • MBA

  • Educational Counselor, MAEC

  • Lego® Serious Play® Facilitator

I spent the first ten years of my career in the private sector working in sports, industry and tech industries - from running a corporate social responsibility program for the NBA in China (NBA Cares), to consulting with clients through IBM and LinkedIn in strategy and talent management. As a Christian, it was through NBA Cares that I knew education management was my calling.

The second half of my career has been in marketing and admissions for universities and most recently K-12. I thrive through meeting with parents and students, counselling them on education-related choices, and supporting their family's decisions and transition into a new school community. I specialize in educational counseling, more specifically teenagers and parents, as well as working professionals whether young adults who are starting out in their early careers or seasoned professionals trying to juggle the demands of life.

As a working parent who has had her fair share of tears and laughter in parenting, I journey alongside my clients with empathy, while being solution-focused with a hint of humour!
